For B.tech courses:

• Minimum age requirement of 16 years and 6 months of age 
• Passing 10+2 examination with minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from any recognised board.
• Physics and Mathematics to be compulsory subjects in 10+2 with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Agriculture/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Business Studies/ Engineering Graphics as one of the major subjects.
• Indian Residents or NRIs can both apply.
• For International schools in India, GCE-level A /IB certificate/IB diploma with Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects and one of Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies as major subjects.
• Qualify SRMJEEE (Joint Engineering Entrance Examination).
• Students should qualify the above mentioned examination in maximum 2 attempts to be eligible for admission.

Clearing the IIT JEE Main/SAT will get direct admission even if the candidate doesn’t take SRMJEEE.

For B.Des Course:

• 10+2 examination with 50% aggregate in any stream.
• There will be a written examination followed by a personal interview at SRMIST.
• UCEED scorer will be preferred.

For. B.Arch Course:

• Passing 10+2 examination or 10+3 Diploma Examination with 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Maths is a compulsory subject for Architecture.
• Passing National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA)/ IIT-JEE Mains Paper-II

• For B.Tech admission at SRMIST (Ramapuram campus), one needs to register online.
• SRMJEE is conducted in 3 phases and one student can appear in more than one phase. 
• Fill the application form separately for each phase and pay a non-refundable examination fee of Rs.1200/- for each phase.
• Register with your email ID carefully as that email ID will be used for further correspondence and cannot be changed once submitted. 
• Keep your 10th Marksheet handy as the details of the same would be required to fill in the form.
• Other required documents include a photograph image (of specifications 200x 230px, 5MB), Signature image (140 x 60 px, 5 MB) and card or netbanking details for online payment.
